7Seven Things To Say About “12 Days at Bleakly Manor” by Michelle Griep

  1. A year ago Clara Chapman was left at the alter and later found out that her fiancé had not only left her at the alter but he stole her families money.
  2. A year ago Benjamin Lane was wrongly accused and arrested of embezzlement, he has spent the last year in prison rejected and alone.
  3. Clara and Ben along with several others are sent invitations to spend the 12 days of Christmas at Bleakly Manor.  Ben is granted a special house arrest so that he may attend.
  4. Each person that arrives a Bleakly Manor is given a promise, Clara $500 and Benjamin is promised his freedom.  The others have each been promised something, when they arrive they are told that they must stay in the house for all 12 days to receive the reward and only 1 can earn the promised reward.
  5. Things become  complicated when Ben arrives, he is after all Clara’s missing fiancé.  She believes he has been living the high life with her family money and he believes she is the one who wrongly accused him.
  6. With Ben and Clara in the same house they discover each was wrong, but there are still so many unanswered questions and a lot of time has passed.
  7. This book is filled with twists and turns, filled with an eclectic cast of characters who each has their own agenda.  This is a great addition to any readers Christmas book list.
